Flying Kites at El Morro

Friday we headed to El Morro to enjoy the outdoors and fly some kites. Noah and Harry made a kite and so did Dad and Noah. None of the kites we made for our Wolf electives made it to El Morro. But we did have fun trying to fly the others. We need more practice! Some of us have more patience than others. Some of us ate piraguas...my favorite is still orange and pina mixed. We then headed to El Hamburger, a burger joint we heard of near El Morro. It wasn't that great the views were spectacular! That night we headed to the Dahlstroms and enjoyed playing games and the abundance of fireworks that they are selling here now. I did put some away for the 4th of July!

Visiting Endicotts in Puerto Rico - March 2011

Endicotts pool and casita (guest house)

I am glad to be in Puerto Rico in the winter - it is lovely. Nice warm days of 83 degrees and a nice ocean breeze. Beckki and Allen live about 500 steps from the beach in Dorado del Mar. When I sit on the hammock at the front of the house, I can see the Atlantic Ocean. The water is warm and it is refreshing on a very hot day. The main reason for the visit was the baptism of Harry. This event took place on Sat, Mar 19, 2011, at the Endicott house in their pool. Some of Harry's primary class came and it was a very nice event. In the afternoon we headed to the beach and really enjoyed ourselves.

Florida Trip

Hi Everyone! We are excited as well to go to Florida! We arrive in Florida at 10:30pm Monday, November 23rd. We leave on Saturday, November 28th at 9:10am.

I'm not sure if we need to rent a car or not. How many of you will have cars available while in Florida. Just want to know in case we need to rent a car:)

Also, what were the plans for the week? I started to make plans but realized that I probably shouldn't be the one organizing the event since I don't really know what everyone wants to do. And what do we all want to do for Thanksgiving dinner? Eat out at a buffet? Restaurant? I'm more than happy to help plan, but I do really need your input.

Two days at Disneyworld for our family of three is about $415.00. So everyone really needs to think about what they really want to do. There are also several other things to do while in Florida besides Disneyworld. So please give your input!

Thanks,
Janet

FLORIDA!!

How many days until Orlando??? I could go right now. I know that everyone is making plans and the address for the house keeps getting lost. I thought I would post it here along with the link:

The address is 4470 Philadelphia Circle, Kissimmee, FL 34746.

Here is the link: http://www.floridadreamhomes.com/vacation-rental-home.asp?PageDataID=14978 (you will have to copy this link and paste in your browser).

I haven't heard if mom and dad booked a place. Maybe they can post their info here as well.

We are going to drive and so far I have enough time to stay the week. We will plan on being in Orlando on Sunday night before Thanksgiving. We are planning to leave by Friday afternoon. We have the house until Saturday.

WELCOME...

Welcome to the Downey blog. I am just getting things started and am trying to figure out some things with this blog, but it should be ready soon for all family to add pictures and messages so that we can keep in touch and others, for that matter, can keep in touch with our family.

Enjoy and hopefully soon you will be able to download pictures and family updates!

Thanks,
Janet
